Getting There
Nearest Airport: Luxor International (LXR)
Flight Hubs: Cairo (1h), direct charters from European cities in winter. Cairo is the main connection hub.
Local Transport: Tuk-tuks and taxis for the East Bank (negotiate before you get in). Rent a bicycle (~50 EGP/$1/day) for the West Bank. Ferries cross the Nile for 5 EGP.
Visa: Most passports: e-Visa (apply online at visa2egypt.gov.eg) or visa on arrival. Tourist visa fee raised to ~USD 45 (single entry) from Dec 2025.
