Flight Hubs: Auckland (45min), Wellington (1h). Most international arrivals connect via Auckland.
Local Transport: A car is strongly recommended. Rental from ROT airport from NZD $60/day ($37). Some hop-on bus tours run between major geothermal sites.
Visa: Most visa-waiver passports: NZeTA required (~NZD 17 via the app / NZD 23 online). Note: the International Visitor Levy (IVL) of NZD 100 is charged on top, paid with the NZeTA.
