The lagoon is the thing. Every photo you've seen has undersold it: a ring of water that shifts from pale mint in the shallows to deep cobalt where the reef drops away, with a volcanic peak rising black and green from the middle. You spend most of your time floating, snorkelling, or staring out from an overwater bungalow at water that does not look real. It is extremely expensive and absolutely quiet.
